Mosaic - a new resource centre

Mosaic is run by the Churches of Tunbridge Wells for vulnerable
people or those in need.

You can find this exciting addition to
the town and community at 46 Quarry Road, Tunbridge Wells,
TN1 2EZ.

The Soup Bowl, where guests can enjoy lunch for a small contribution of £1, is located there Mondays to Thursdays between 12.30pm and 1.30pm. Mosaic also offers guests any support and advice they may need. For example Porchlight, Kent’s largest charity for homeless and vulnerable people runs a drop-in every Tuesday and Thursday at 12pm, and futURe store are there every Thursday at 12.30pm to offer help with pre-employment support and training advice.

The beauty of Mosaic lies within its informal space and amazing volunteers who work hard to offer a warm and friendly welcome to
anyone who is in need.

Mosaic has received many generous donations of second hand clothes, new toiletries and food and are always grateful for financial donations to help with running costs.

If anyone would like to make a donation or contact Mosaic, please email enquiriestwmosaic@gmail.com

Help us Plan for the Future

Spring is the perfect time to make plans, and here at TWBC we’d like your help with ours!

We’re running an online consultation to find out what residents want us
to prioritise over the next few years.

You can access the consultation online via Talking Point, our engagement portal. We have a short survey, an online map where you can post ideas and plenty of background information about what we have been doing over recent years. twbc.online/planningforthefuture

If you’re not online and would like to take part, call us on 01892 526121 and we’ll send the survey out in the post.

Grants help in move to be carbon neutral

The Council has been successful in bidding for money from the Government’s Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme which provides grants for public sector bodies to fund heat decarbonisation and
energy efficiency measures – another step on the road to becoming carbon neutral.

Grants of more than £1.4 million, together with some additional Council funding, will be used for three projects.

Weald Leisure Centre One of these will result in big changes at the Weald Leisure Centre, Cranbrook. Air source heat pumps will replace the existing boilers alongside other upgrades including better insulation, LED lighting and solar panels.

North Farm Depot A second project will design and install air source heat pumps to replace the existing boilers and carry out associated upgrades at the Council’s Depot on North Farm Lane. The Depot and the leisure centre projects will be completed by March 2023.

Improving efficiency More immediately, we will have a project completed by the end of March 2022 which will produce decarbonisation plans for the Council’s least energy efficient buildings.

Local magazine will be delivered through your letterbox from 14th March.
