Tunbridge Wells Pandemic Memory TreeLasting Impressions Tunbridge Wells Pandemic Memory Tree is a community project run by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, in partnership with Tunbridge Wells Hospital. We have created a quilted tree wall hanging, with leaves made by members of the local community depicting their memories, reflections, and experiences of living through the Covid-19 pandemic. To view the tree, stop by the Amelia Scott building, where it is on display in the Green Room opposite the children's library. | |

Tunbridge Wells Literary Festival launches todayThe Tunbridge Wells Literary Festival runs over the bank holiday weekend Friday 29 April to Monday 2 May. Helping to celebrate the opening of The Amelia Scott, the festival is a packed programme of over 30 events which brings together some of the nation's best-selling authors, award-winning journalists and hottest new talent, right here on our door step. From talks, Q&A's, discussion and debate, to free story-telling sessions, art classes, workshops and book signings. Tunbridge Wells Repair Café The Tunbridge Wells Repair Café is a volunteer-led community event where people with repair skills help mend items that no longer work.
They have repair stations that cover a wide range including household and gardening electrical items, mechanical, jewellery, textiles / clothing, small furniture / wood, bicycles, IT / computers, knife sharpening and miscellaneous.
The Repair Café opens at 10am and close at 1pm and it runs on a first come first served basis. See their website for upcoming dates the next cafes are 30th April, 21st May, 25th June and 16th July at Trinity Theatre. | |

Clothes rails wanted!
Do you have an old clothes rail you no longer want or use?The Ukraine Relief Group are asking for clothes rails to display the range of clothing donated by residents in support of Ukrainian refugees arriving in the borough.
