The results from the borough elections on 5 May have now been published.  

Liberal Democrats won 6 seats.
Tunbridge Wells Alliance won 5 seats.
Labour won 3 seats.
The conservatives won 2 seats. 

Below is the political balance of the Council: 
 
The Liberal Democrats have 16 seats.
The Conservatives have 13 seats.
Tunbridge Wells Alliance have 9 seats.
Labour have 7 seats.
Independents have 3 seats. 



 
 
The great big green week
 

Funding available for the Great Big Green Week 2022

The Great Big Green Week (24 September - 2 October) encourages community-led events  to inspire inter-generational climate action. 

If you want to organise an event, the Great Big Green Week Community Fund supports community groups, clubs, charities, parish councils etc. to organise local events, activities and festivals during the week. Queen's Platinum Jubilee parade

Join us on Friday 3 June at 12.45pm to celebrate 70 years of Her Majesty's reign, with a special event joining together communities from across Royal Tunbridge Wells and the wider borough.  Look out for our colourful carnival style parade starting at the War Memorial in the centre of the town carrying on to the nearby Dunorlan Park for a fun afternoon jam-packed with family entertainment, music, bars, and food stalls!

If you are already signed up for the garden waste service you do not need to do anything. We will contact you when your subscription is due for renewal.

 

Remember you can put old batteries out during your recycling collection week and small electrical items and textiles on your refuse collection week.
