New administration
 

New Leader and administration announced 

At the Annual Meeting of Tunbridge Wells Borough Council on Wednesday 25 May 2022 Councillor Ben Chapelard was elected as Leader.

Having accepted the Leadership Cllr Chapelard announced his administration will be called the Borough Partnership. The partnership is made up of Liberal Democrats, Tunbridge Wells Alliance and Labour councillors, and the independent councillor for Paddock Wood (East).

Cllr Chapelard said: 'We have come together to form this administration with one single and only objective: doing the best for our residents and our borough.'

The Queen's platinum jubilee
 

Queen's Platinum Jubilee

Celebrate in style in Royal Tunbridge Wells on Friday 3 June for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee! 

Following a special procession through the town, there will be a big jubilee lunch at Dunorlan Park with a host of activities and stalls. Entry is free!

king Charles the martyr royal tunbridge wells
 

The church of King Charles the Martyr will be holding a Platinum Jubilee flower festival from 2 - 5 June. Explore the decades of Her Majesty the Queen through a series of flower installations in the historic heart of Tunbridge Wells. Entry is free. There will be collection boxes for various charities.

On Sunday 5 June from 3pm - 5.30pm there will be a Jubilee Celebration at the church of St.Thomas, Southborough in Pennington Rd. 

Games, craft activities, face painting, refreshments and lots more will be there for all the family to enjoy. Prize for the best Jubilee fancy dress outfit.

Kent County Council look after the county's highways and roads and are responsible for issuing permits and licences for road closures. Kent County Council publish an online map of planned roadworks in the area.
