Love Where We Live Awards 2022

They are now open for nominations!

This year we have made the community awards bigger than ever, there are nine categories open for nomination, including two new categories; Green Household and Good Neighbour, as well as our familiar ones (although some have a name change!)

They celebrate and recognise the people who make the borough of Tunbridge Wells a great place to live and work. Who gets your nomination?

It's quick and easy to nominate and find out more online.

Electoral Register

Every year we check that the electoral register is up to date so that everyone who has the right to vote in upcoming elections can have their say.

Last week we started sending letters or emails to every household in the borough asking you to check your details. Just follow the steps on the letter or email you received to complete your form.

Responding online is the quickest and easiest way to complete the form.

Have Your Say on a New Political Map for TWBC

New boundaries are being proposed for Council wards across the borough.

The Local Government Boundary Commission wants to know what you think about the proposals. A 10-week consultation started this week and will run until 10 October 2022.

New subscriptions for our fortnightly garden waste collection service are open.

Find out more and sign up on our website. If you are already signed up for the garden waste service you do not need to do anything. We will contact you when your subscription is due for renewal.

Remember you can put old batteries out during your recycling collection week and small electrical items and textiles on your refuse collection week.

Events

This month's Wellbeing Walk on Tunbridge Wells Commons is taking place on 13 August. Please note there is a new start time of 10:30am to make parking a bit easier! Full details can be found on the Ramblers website.

Hospice in the Weald's much loved Hospice Run, supported by Savills, takes place on Sunday 18 September.
