There will be a two minutes' silence on Sunday at 8pm. 

Monday 19 September
The funeral of Queen Elizabeth II – Bank Holiday 

Recycling and waste collections
Our waste contractor will be collecting bins on Monday 19 September. 

It is usual for collections to take place on bank holidays in the borough. We have asked that recycling and waste crews be respectful, and pause collections and observe the national two minute's silence as The State Funeral draws to a close.

Car parks
Royal Victoria Place and Meadow Road car parks in Royal Tunbridge Wells will be closed. Other town centre car parks will be open.

Town Hall
The Town Hall will be closed.

The Amelia Scott 
The Amelia Scott will be closed.

Cemetery and Crematorium
The crematorium and office will be closed. The cemetery and crematorium grounds will be open to visitors. 

Leisure centres
All Fusion Lifestyle leisure centres will be closed.

Have you signed up to take part in our #GreatBigGreenWeek events this September? You can learn something new and connect with members of the local community who want to see action on climate change. George The Poet
 

In a special appearance, the critically acclaimed spoken word artist George The Poet brings his innovative brand of musical poetry to the Assembly Hall Theatre in Royal Tunbridge Wells on Wednesday 5 October.

Tickets for under 25's are just £10 and GO card holders can go free of charge, please book early to make sure you hear this inspiring artist. Tickets available on the assembly hall website
