The Amelia Scott this winter

The Amelia Scott is a safe, friendly and warm building that is open to everyone, every day. Located in the heart of Tunbridge Wells, the Amelia Scott team will be on hand to welcome you in to enjoy the building's museum, libraries and exhibitions in both warmth and comfort.

Arts Council funding for 2023 Literary Festival

Great news! We've been awarded a National Lottery Project Grant of £25K from Arts Council England towards the cost of the 2023 Festival. The TW Literary Festival 2023 will take place from 11-14 May, so put the dates in your diary now. More information will be published next year.

Social tariff broadband

Changes to garden waste collection dates

If you subscribe to the garden waste service, look out for an email or letter from us during week commencing Monday 7 November 2022. We'll be giving you information about changes to collection dates.

Remember you can put old batteries out during your recycling collection week and small electrical items and textiles on your refuse collection week.

Planning Committee approves development on important employment site

A new industrial estate for Tunbridge Wells on land at Lucks Lane, north of Paddock Wood, has been given the go ahead.

The strategic employment site, which developers say could support more than 2,000 jobs, was given outline approval by the Council's Planning Committee on Wednesday 19 October 2022.

Events

Royal Tunbridge Wells Symphony Orchestra's Sunday 6 November performance features well known works by the great British composer Ralph Vaughan Williams to mark the 150th anniversary of his birth. Book tickets on the Assembly Hall website.

On 12 November in the Amelia Scott's Upper Atrium, there is a free session showcasing how you can use your library membership to take advantage of our newspaper archive subscriptions. Booking is recommended via the website.
