Paddock Wood: Works taking placeSouth East Water is carrying out work in Paddock Wood from 23 July for around six weeks during the school summer holidays. Gedges Hill and Chantler's Hill will be closed to through traffic and a diversion route, agreed with Kent Highways, will be signposted for the duration of the works. Work will take place Monday to Friday, from 7am to 7pm, and from 8am to 4pm on Saturdays. There may also be some night works required for network connections. There is more information online.

Message from Kent Relief: Donations neededKentRelief (Charity number 1204501) are planning our next truck of humanitarian aid to Ukraine at the end of July. We are low on funds to cover the costs of the truck to Lviv, and the onward delivery from there to our beneficiaries in the East of Ukraine. Our last consignment costs were £4450. Got an awkward or bulky item to dispose of? Our bulky waste collection service will remove heavy or large items too big to fit in your bin. To visit the household waste recycling centre at North Farm you must book a slot in advance using the Kent County Council booking system.
Remember you can put old batteries out during your recycling collection week and small electrical items and textiles on your household waste collection week.
