Your Local
Update
from TWBC
Hello digitalservices@tunbridgewells.gov.uk
Here is your weekly update from Tunbridge Wells Borough Council
Recognise your local volunteers in the Love Where We Live awards! There are people in our borough who make a vital contribution to their community, or who make a special effort to enhance other people's lives. Perhaps someone has been going out of their way to help others for a number of years, or perhaps they are someone who is always there if they are needed, an 'unsung' hero who deserves to be recognised. We would like to hear about them. We also have a category specifically for young volunteers, aged 24 or under. Make a nomination.
Get familiar with our Literary Festival socials! If you have a huge 'to be read' list, can't resist a rainy reading day, or never leave the house without your kindle, the TW Literary Festival social accounts will be the perfect bookish addition to your feed!
Find the LitFest on Instagram, X and Facebook!

Skate 2024It's closer than you think! Skate is BACK at Calverley Grounds in December, and tickets are already available to book! Take a look on the Assembly Hall website to find out more.

Help us shape your climate futureOver the course of August and September, members of the Sustainability team will be visiting towns within the borough to inform the public on upcoming work. This is an opportunity for residents to have your questions answered and hear more about how the borough will be tackling climate change. We've already been out and about at The Amelia Scott, Paddock Wood Carnival Weekend and Calverley Grounds. Keep your eyes peeled for our events near you!

Your food waste is collected weekly on the same day as your recycling or household waste collection and it may be collected by a separate lorry at a different time of the day.
Got an awkward or bulky item to dispose of? Our bulky waste collection service will remove heavy or large items too big to fit in your bin. To visit the household waste recycling centre at North Farm you must book a slot in advance using the Kent County Council booking system.
Remember you can put old batteries out during your recycling collection week and small electrical items and textiles on your household waste collection week.
Check our waste and recycling pages for more information.
