Better Streets: have your say on proposed changesA reminder that the community engagement on the Better Streets project for the St John's and St James' areas of Royal Tunbridge Wells which also includes areas of Southborough, High Brooms, Sherwood and Park wards ends on 9 December. The survey asks for your views on concept designs and other enhancements for each area. The concept designs are ideas, they are not agreed plans and we want to hear what you think about them. Energy efficiency: what can we do?The UK has 30 million homes and powering them with oil and gas will come at a huge cost to our environment. Decarbonising our homes is essential if we want to reach our national target of net zero.
Across the UK, our buildings account for 20% of total emissions. The main losses being from inefficient heat systems.

Your food waste is collected weekly on the same day as your recycling or household waste collection and it may be collected by a separate lorry at a different time of the day.
Got an awkward or bulky item to dispose of? Our bulky waste collection service will remove heavy or large items too big to fit in your bin. To visit the household waste recycling centre at North Farm you must book a slot in advance using the Kent County Council booking system.
Remember you can put old batteries out during your recycling collection week and small electrical items and textiles on your household waste collection week.

Pembury Evening WI Christmas Craft Fair takes place on Saturday 30 November, from 2pm to 4.30pm, at Pembury Village Hall. Entry is free! This craft fair has everything crafts, flavoured gin and preserves, candles, decorated baskets and much more!
