Mayor's Toy Appeal Can you help Teddy Mayor spread a little magic next Christmas? The annual Mayor's Toy Appeal is now underway.
The Appeal helps bring joy to children and teenagers in the area who are in need or whose families find Christmas an especially difficult time of year.

Flood warningsThe Environment Agency says that 1,900 homes in Tunbridge Wells are at risk of flooding but just 18% of those are signed up for flood warning.

Kent Relief KentRelief's (charity no. 1204501) next truck of humanitarian aid leaves on 14 December they are looking for donations towards the cost of the truck, which on this occasion is going to cost £3,900. To donate please see their website .
They are also looking for volunteers to help load the truck on Saturday 14 December from 10am, free lunch provided! Please contact sue@kentrelief.org.uk if you would like to take part. | |

Your food waste is collected weekly on the same day as your recycling or household waste collection and it may be collected by a separate lorry at a different time of the day.
Got an awkward or bulky item to dispose of? Our bulky waste collection service will remove heavy or large items too big to fit in your bin. To visit the household waste recycling centre at North Farm you must book a slot in advance using the Kent County Council booking system.
Remember you can put old batteries out during your recycling collection week and small electrical items and textiles on your household waste collection week.

Events

Enjoy a classic Christmas concert featuring selected movements from J.S. Bach's beautiful Christmas Oratorio sung live by the Royal Tunbridge Wells Choral Society with a professional soloist as well as traditional carols. There will be word sheets for the carols, and anyone in the audience can sing along with the choir. Tickets are available via the choir's website and on the door. They are £12 for adults and £6 for children and those in full time education. The concert is at 6.30pm on Saturday 14 December at St James Church, 1 Ferndale, Tunbridge Wells TN2 3RL.
