This Girl Can turns 10

This Sunday the This Girl Can campaign celebrates it's 10 year anniversary. This award-winning campaign seeks to empower women to stay healthy through physical activity, no matter what their backgrounds are.

Our Health Improvement team would love to hear from any sports, physical activity, community groups or clubs, or residents who have an interest in improving the opportunities  for women in our borough, particularly those who are most challenged. We would like to be able to bring people together this summer to showcase our clubs and help more women to become active and stay active.

Please contact us at: health@tunbridgewells.gov.uk

Share your views with the Commons Conservators

Tunbridge Wells Commons Conservators are asking for help to better understand how to make time spent on Tunbridge Wells and Rusthall Commons more enjoyable. They want to ensure that resources are directed towards improvements and works that matter to the community and would love to hear your views by completing their very short questionnaire, available online.

Recycling

Monday 9 June

Your bin collection dates may change over Christmas and New Year. The dates given above include these changes. Our website gives more information about recycling and bin collection changes at Christmas.

Your food waste is collected weekly on the same day as your recycling or household waste collection and it may be collected by a separate lorry at a different time of the day.

Got an awkward or bulky item to dispose of? Our bulky waste collection service will remove heavy or large items too big to fit in your bin. To visit the household waste recycling centre at North Farm you must book a slot in advance using the Kent County Council booking system.

Remember you can put old batteries out during your recycling collection week and small electrical items and textiles on your household waste collection week.

Check our waste and recycling pages for more information.
