Currently, The Amelia Scott is open from 9am-8pm on a Thursday - under the proposed new opening hours, it will close at 6pm on a Thursday due to low visitor numbers.

National Empty Homes weekWe have been working to reduce the number of empty homes in the borough for some time. Bringing empty properties back into use can be a cost effective and sustainable way to increase the supply of housing and make best use of existing buildings to meet local needs, as well as reducing the demand for new homes, improving neighbourhoods, increasing access to housing and helping to improve the quality of life for our residents.

Project Ripple Effect is a citizen science project on the upper Medway catchment. Volunteers regularly test water quality from Forest Row to Tunbridge Wells, and some survey river invertebrates too. The project is led by University of Sussex and Friends of the River Medway, and they're looking for new volunteers to join the team. You don't need to be a scientist or have any experience, and some of the test sites are right on the edge of Tunbridge Wells.
