Consultation on the Council's response following the examination of the new Local PlanFollowing the Local Plan examination hearings that took place in 2022 the Inspector wrote to the Council setting out his initial findings. Read the initial findings here. In response to these findings, the Council is proposing that it takes the Local Plan forward with a revised development strategy. We now want to know what people think about the Council's response and the revised development strategy. This public consultation is open until midnight on Monday 26 February 2024.Representations/comments can be submitted online, via email or by post. Ashes to Light Concert at The Amelia Scott 27 January 2024Join us for the Ashes to Light Concert, which will feature beautiful recitals by Alex Metcalfe on piano and Patricia Calnan on Violin, with the concert including works by Chopin, Bach and Bloch. Alongside the music, the evening will recount the amazing story of Nelly Ben-Or, who escaped from imprisonment in the Lodz ghetto to eventually find international success as a concert pianist in the UK. This concert is part of a number of events at The Amelia Scott on 27 January to mark Holocaust Memorial Day.

At 2.30pm on 27 January at the Church of King Charles the Martyr, a lecture on Charles I and his times: 'Who are all these people?' the Subscription Lists of the church of King Charles the Martyr. This is followed at 7pm, by a festival concert from baroque ensemble Dei Gratia.

Got an awkward or bulky item to dispose of? Our bulky waste collection service will remove heavy or large items too big to fit in your bin. To visit the household waste recycling centre at North Farm you must book a slot in advance using the Kent County Council booking system.
Remember you can put old batteries out during your recycling collection week and small electrical items and textiles on your household waste collection week.
